What began as a simple story scribbled down in quiet moments has blossomed into a beautifully illustrated children’s series about bravery, friendship, and celebrating what makes us unique.  The series now includes fifteen titles, each built around a heartfelt lesson for readers of all ages — and three are complete and ready to publish.

The story that started it all — about a tiny Chihuahua with a wobbly step, a red brace, and a heart that never gave up. Nola Red’s journey from rescue to forever home reminds us that love doesn’t look for perfection — it looks for heart. The BIG Adventures of LITTLE Nola Red is more than a book series — it’s a movement.

From it grew Nola Red’s Little Paws Big Steps Foundation, which empowers children to embrace their unique qualities, stand against bullying, and lead with kindness. Through storytelling, school programs, and scholarships, the foundation celebrates differences — in children and in rescue animals — reminding the world that what makes us different is what makes us special.

Each book and plush directly supports these efforts, helping provide veterinary care for adoptable dogs and programs that teach empathy, courage, and compassion in schools and communities.
